This organized event was started in 2021 by (West) Philadelphia's Centennial Parkside Community Development Corporation’s "No Foul, No Fear" Black Men's focus and discussion group after the killing of George Floyd and the associated civil unrest.
The mission of the 2022 Black Man’s Conference is to support and empower Black Men as we continue in communities to move toward positive activism within the challenges of ever-changing times. By creating tables for Black Men and their families to come together in one of our most iconic civic assets, Fairmount Park, we will provide a space for retreat and reflection on how to best address issues of concern such as conflict resolution, gun violence, mental health, mentorship, and more.
This foundational event will serve to provide attendees with the necessary tools and head-start for mission and implementation. It is intended to assist in developing a network of Black Men who will commit to working within their immediate communities to mentor, coach, and create autonomous outlets for others through the process of breakout sessions and the imagining of creative strategies that will help to build bridges of success through securing action-based initiatives.
Black Men of all ages are invited to attend!
Lunch will be provided for pre-registered attendees.
